David Cory decided in1998 to focus his leadership development training and coaching on the concept of Emotional Intelligence and has been travelling the world working with leaders in progressive companies, post-secondary institutions, and all levels of government ever since.

Work Experience
As a former manager in a leadership development firm, David had the opportunity to design and deliver customized leadership development solutions for corporations. David then started the Emotional Intelligence Training Company Inc. in 1998 to serve clients with his own brand of leadership development programs and offering certification to use world’s leading assessment for ‘EQ’ – the Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-I 2.0).

David has a Masters’ degree in Adult Education, a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Canadian Teachers’ Professional License. He is also certified in emotional intelligence training as a training partner with MHS Inc., Toronto, Ontario, Canada to offer certification to use the EQ-I 2.0 and EQ 360)

David is considered to be an international expert in the area of emotional intelligence and leadership development and has recently completed designing a comprehensive emotional intelligence skills training program to be delivered through a ‘train-the-trainer’ model for all citizens in the Republic of Botswana. David has trained leaders in Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Europe, and all over North America

All David’s presentations are highly interactive and engaging through the use of stories, music, humour, case studies, and practical concepts, which can be used immediately to improve both the work and personal lives of participants.

David enjoys singing and playing the guitar and performing for audiences wherever he goes and sometimes even in the classroom incorporating the music into the learning.
